Sadly for some (AHEMMM! ME!!!), summer is coming to an end. While most of us are left with a tan, the majority of us are also left with fried hair! This may be a combination of hours swimming in a chlorinated pool, basking in the sun, or just spending any extended period of time in the sun for any reason. When Fashion Hurts

Like many people in DC, I take public transportation to work every morning. For me it's up a hill and on the carriage I go. Last week I was excited to wear my new Sam Edelman Caper flats. For what feels like months, I had been looking for a cute flat to wear during my trek before I slip into my heels. Well, you see them--they're darling!

It's no surprise that fashion is a cycle, and if it was around before, chances are it will come around again.

In 2012 it's grunge. That's right. The 90's are back! This may strike fear in some people's hearts, but do not despair, with the comeback brings reinvention!

From the runways, to editorial spreads, to street fashion, hair color is huge! And I don't mean color like, "Oh...that's a pretty blonde" or "What a rich brunette!" NO! I mean COLOR! Every color of the rainbow is gliding down the tresses of fashion lovers everywhere. This may be a bit too intense for some to take on, but if you have the courage, look at the photo below of how beautiful it can be! It's cotton candy goodness!

Pretty Pastels

It's no doubt that vibrant colors are a hot trend for this spring/summer 2012 season of fashion. Everywhere you look are neons and bold hues being color blocked to perfection. With all the flashy colors around, the light pastels can be easily overlooked. Lets not forget this season's runways were also covered with "barely there summer shades".

Summer Hues

I've been wanting to do blue nail polish for the longest time.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find a hue that I felt comfortable with-- too trashy, too metallic, too dark, doesn't match with my skin tone; etc. Then, a couple weeks ago, while at a salon, a beautiful collection of mod colors from Brights by OPI caught my eye.

There it was-- a blue, and I flirted with the possibility of giving it a shot.
