[Reformed] Mallrat

These joggers are another purchase from River Island's Doha, Qatar location. Although it's possible to shop online, it was fun to actually visit one of the stores––yes, even though it was in a mall! I've definitely grown out of the "let's go to the mall" phase. (Growing up in central Washington, there really wasn't much else to do!) My preference is small boutique stores or shopping online. I'd choose either of these over a mall any day!

How about you? How do you get your fashion fix––malls or online shopping?

If you grew up cruising the mall like me, check out this article from The Atlantic (Feb. 2015) on how malls in America are taking a shift.

[ ALEXANDERWANGXHM ] Preview Collection Today!

Alexander Wang is the first American designer to design for H&M. His collection (watch below) went live online today and features wearable contrasts. Wang joins the ranks of Versace and Isabel Marant as the 2014 designer collaborator.

I personally love the anoraks, perforated sweaters, and scuba tops! These are pieces that I could immediately add to my wardrobe because they blend with my current style. Some of the other pieces at first look, of course, are more street; definitely reminiscent of an urban city such as NYC. Both the men's and women's collections will be sure to saturate wardrobes worldwide.

Watch Wang's collection below. Then visit select H&M stores or shop online November 6!

What do you think of the collection? Will you be making a dash to H&M?

Where the Sidewalk Ends

One of the many privileges in life is having the power of choice. Choosing something for yourself, and being satisfied with that choice, can propel you in ways taking the lead from someone else could never do. Today, I encourage you to trust yourself and take a step in faith. There's always something more, even when you think you've arrived at the sidewalk's end.
