Tortoiseshell

My good friend approached me last week, wanting a hair transformation. Of course I was all in! Her photo of Jessica Alba as inspiration got me even more excited. After all, it's always nice when your client has impeccable taste.

I just finished reading an article the other day about a color trend from Europe that's making its way into the U.S. called ecaille, which means "tortoiseshell" in French. I hope you love her before and after photos as much as I do! You can read more about this trend here, so you will know just how to communicate the look to your stylist.

YOLO

Today is my friend Lauren's birthday and I want to give her a shout out! As I was going through pictures in my phone the other day I came across these before and after photos of the drastic change I gave her hair last summer. It was so much fun and she looks absolutely beautiful!

Remember....hair grows....so if you are thinking of making a change, go for it! It would be so boring to have your hair one way the rest of your life, so take a risk! You only live once!

Happy birthday Lauren! I hope your day is as fabulous as you are! Xo.

How about a splash of COLOR??

It was a typical morning in November. I woke up, made my way to the bathroom, and looked in the mirror. Before me stood a person who just a few weeks ago I thought was beautiful, but somehow that had faded(literally) more quickly than I had anticipated :(

I recently got back from a trip to Mexico for a fairytale wedding and my favorite souvenir was my golden tan! It went hand in hand with my fabulous ombré hair, which I had worked so long to achieve! But now, it was gone....my tan that is..I had become as pale as I could be, my hair blended into my skin, and I felt officially BLAH!!

Tired of the typical "go blonde in the summer" and "go dark in the fall", I decided to give my locks a bit more variety. Purple it is!
