Frighteningly Beautiful

Halloween is just around the corner, and that means, 'tis the season to be spooky! I don't know about you, but if I'm going to be scaring  anyone, I want it to be because of my good looks!

I'm such a sucker for anything festive. So when I went to Walgreens to pick up my prescription, I got pulled right in by the sight of these Disney Villains makeup kits. I went for the Cruella De Vil set because I thought that color pallet would look best on me.

For under $10, you get 2 sets of eyeshadow ( one for a day look, and the other for a night look ), an eyelid primer, a pencil eyeliner, a liquid eyeliner, an eyeshadow brush, mascara, and lipgloss! And I shouldn't fail to mention that it actually wears really well!  The other kit options were The Wicked Queen, Ursula, and Maleficent.

This is the day eyeshadow. I wore it with my hair in a wet look. So fun!

This is the night look. The colors are a bit darker and more sultry.

I love both looks, and am excited to play around with both of them! For more villainous ideas, check out the flats designed after the evil mistresses here

Even my pumpkin has to show off some fashion ;)

Tell us your frighteningly beautiful ideas!

Selena Gomez is [ In Bloom ]

I remember looking forward to the days when Disney was available on cable (we didn't subscribe to the channel). My sister and I would be glued-- it was only available for a week or so! Still, I never became so infatuated with a character that I wanted to follow their every move on and off screen. If I had, however, Selena would be the girl to follow.

One thing I love about this article is how authentic she is. Despite the fact that she name dropped my fav -- no, not Justin Beiber -- her authentic and down to earth responses were what kept me interested. Such a relief from many other young starlets (she's only 20) who are seemingly all about the number of their followers on Twitter.

Harper's Bazaar - "Fashion In Bloom"

Selena wears a Calvin Klein Collection dress that looks like it was made for her! It's paired with a white bustier from same collection. Let's be honest, who doesn't want that parasol?!

Her film Spring Breakers opened on March 22 and surprisingly hit #6 at the box office. Selena's co-stars included Ashley Benson from Pretty Little Liars, Vanessa Hudgens from all of those High School Musical movies, and goofy but uber talented James Franco. It's a step away from her tween persona, but we all have to bloom at some point, don't we?

Happy Reading.
