So when I came across this link on Twitter from Harper's Bazaar, I was ecstatic to see just how easy it was to make my own. There are two styles to choose from, and they are both fab. I'm obsessed with mine and planning on making more!

Blankets For Everyone

Cover Story | September 2014
It is nearly impossible to speak of Audrey Hepburn and find someone who hasn't been inspired by her style or compassion. It is quite possible, however, to overlook her family legacy. In this month's issue of Harper's Bazaar, we're given insight to the life of a young artist who just so happens to be the beloved Audrey's granddaughter.
At age 20, Emma Ferrer is a third year art student at the Florence Academy of Art. She doesn't appear to have aspirations of acting, nor the unpleasant stigma of being born into a famous family line. In fact, she believes living in Florence since her mid-teens has shielded her from that. What she does have is a persona-- from what can be captured through this article-- that is amiable and curious.
"I've been questioning a lot lately what she means to me. I knew her image, of course, and that I happened to be, by pure chance, related to her."
As Audrey's oldest grandchild, Emma relates to her grandmother through the stories told by her father, Sean Ferrer. Her father says both his mother and daughter are similar in that they share the same love for ballet, and a knack for comedy. Perhaps when she takes the rare moment to watch one of her grandmother's films, such as her favorite, Funny Face, it's the comedy that appeals to her. When it comes to the actress Audrey Hepburn, however, Emma says she enjoys her just as anyone else would-- a romantic artistry no doubt. Any other time, her memories rely on the family stories, and her grandmother's cashmere turtlenecks she wears each winter.
For the cover, the famous turtlenecks are set aside. Instead, Emma so elegantly dons an amazing jacket from Ralph Lauren Collection and Bucellatti earings. The simplicity of her makeup, done by Armando Cherillo for Pier Giuseppe Moroni, accentuates her distinct features, and her up-do, crafted by Martina D'Andrea, is sleek.
There isn't much mention of photographer Michael Avedon whose work can be seen here. And no presumptuous claim that he might take Emma as muse, such as his grandfather took Audrey. Still, there's always the possibility of future collaborations as the Florence darling is soon to relocate to NYC where the young Avedon resides.
Surely we'll become more acquainted with Emma once she's stateside. For her art, most likely, but maybe one day, her style.

"I'm dying and I haven't even seen them yet!" - dré
Is it just me, or do you see gold in the near future? Like I told dré: Save yo cash! Because come February, we're goin' shoppin' y'all!

Harper's Bazaar | August 2013 | Candice Swanepoel | Cover Story |
Candice Swanepoel may be a South African beauty, but she really brought out the American Splendor in this month's issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine. Although Bazaar focused on nature's beauty for Fall, I find it so relevant to Summer!
Every Summer, American and foreign tourists travel our states to behold exotic locations, Thor's Hammer, Lurray Caverns, or Route 66. And, of course unique favorites, Native American cultural centers including the Yakama Nation Museum which I was so fond of growing up.

Harper's Bazaar - May 2013 - Summer Fashion Issue |
Take the Dior headpiece on the cover for example. The detail of the headpiece is exquisite. Her demure demeanor comes alive-- and so does the headpiece. She's a model. And the perfect muse.
Although this magazine is a summer fashion issue, dear Gwyneth didn't get to play too much. That is to say that she only had one photo in the entire article! Well, two if you count the cover photo. See them below:

I wish I could say more about the article, but it really didn't move me or bring any insight on the American girl living in London that I, like most of you, didn't already know. Don't have the magazine? You can read the full article here. Let us know in the comments below what struck you most!

Cover Story - { Apr13 }
Selena Gomez is [ In Bloom ]
I remember looking forward to the days when Disney was available on cable (we didn't subscribe to the channel). My sister and I would be glued-- it was only available for a week or so! Still, I never became so infatuated with a character that I wanted to follow their every move on and off screen. If I had, however, Selena would be the girl to follow.
One thing I love about this article is how authentic she is. Despite the fact that she name dropped my fav -- no, not Justin Beiber -- her authentic and down to earth responses were what kept me interested. Such a relief from many other young starlets (she's only 20) who are seemingly all about the number of their followers on Twitter.

Harper's Bazaar - "Fashion In Bloom" |
Selena wears a Calvin Klein Collection dress that looks like it was made for her! It's paired with a white bustier from same collection. Let's be honest, who doesn't want that parasol?!

Her film Spring Breakers opened on March 22 and surprisingly hit #6 at the box office. Selena's co-stars included Ashley Benson from Pretty Little Liars, Vanessa Hudgens from all of those High School Musical movies, and goofy but uber talented James Franco. It's a step away from her tween persona, but we all have to bloom at some point, don't we?
Happy Reading.

Remember in 2011 when JLo was named the Most Beautiful Woman by People Magazine? It's no wonder why she graced the cover of Harper Bazaar's Fashion Preview.
Who needs a Knight in Shining Armour when you've got Jenny from the Block holding it down? You have to agree, there's no damsel in distress here!
