I was watching The Devil Wears Prada last night and began dreaming of the day when I'd be able to walk into a closet full of Chanel, Jimmy Choo, and McQueen. Or, get the hook-up like Andy did! It may be a while before that full closet comes to fruition, but piece by piece it will be fun to build. And, when building a "house" it's best to have a good foundation...shoes!

[ Traveling Light ]

What was supposed to be an 8 hour trip from DC to Cincinnati, OH turned into a 10 hour road trip. Met up with my dad and a few family friends yesterday for a tour around the city. Hangin' out with my dad a bit this AM, then back on the road to DC.

Looong time to sit down to say the least, but to see my dad, I would've traveled a 100 more miles.

Sesame Street LIVE!!

Sesame Street Live is in town today and my little ones can hardly wait for the big event!

In honor of our childhood favorites, I thought I would post these incredibly festive shoes by Celine. I actually think the furry red and yellow numbers, "Elmo" and "Big Bird", would be fun to rock for the right occasion. However, as the blue Birkenstock wannabes, "Cookie Monster", are concerned, I hope that my loved ones love me enough to not put me in the grave in such monstrosities! Din, you better back me on that!

Wedging Into Spring

Like most girls, I love shoes. And I don't love them like you would a favorite recipe.....I love them like they are a family member! When looking to adopt a new pair, I'm very picky and selective. Maximum height is generally an attribute I look for, along with some edge. So, when coming upon the realization that wedges were everywhere I looked, I felt a little unsettled.

In the past, I have not been a huge fan of wedges. I find a lot of them to be "ho-hum" and definitely lacking the edge I desire. But seeing them displayed in every store I step foot, they certainly seem to be "the shoe of Spring/Summer".

Just when I was about to give up hope that I would be able to climb aboard this wedgey trend without loosing my personal style, I found not 1, but 2 pairs calling my name!! Below I present to you ~ the newest members of my kin.

When Fashion Hurts

Like many people in DC, I take public transportation to work every morning. For me it's up a hill and on the carriage I go. Last week I was excited to wear my new Sam Edelman Caper flats. For what feels like months, I had been looking for a cute flat to wear during my trek before I slip into my heels. Well, you see them--they're darling!
