Mani Monday | That's Hula-rious!

Aloha! I hope that your Monday is treating you well! I'm trying to turn over a new leaf today by trying to lay off on my chocolate consumption. It's a wonder that I haven't turned into a molten lava cake! I really am going to try to up my veggie intake, and see if I can actually stick with it long enough to see results.

Now for those that know me well, lowering the amount of chocolate in my diet might sound funny, hilarious even. So how fun is it that I'm starting off my week wearing That's Hula-rious from OPI's Hawaii collection? I really love this mint color, and it kind of reminds me of my mint hair that I had when I first moved to Honolulu! What do you think?

Homecoming Honolulu

TGIF! And as a double bonus to the start of the weekend, tomorrow is the 4th of July! I can't wait!

Today I'm excited to share with you I local store I found called Homecoming Honolulu. It's full of fun clothing that's completely affordable. My shorts and sliders are both scores I made while I was there.

If you're not local, but you'd like to shop their store, you can do so here. Have a great weekend!

The Barge Has Arrived

Today is a good day because all of my belongings that were shipped on the barge are being delivered to my house any moment.  I'm very excited to have more wardrobe options!

For the past two weeks, my wardrobe has been extremely casual and simple. And it hasn't been a bad thing, just different than what I'm typically used to.

Today's look is a prime example of how simple I've been. Top, skirt, sneaks, and a bag. At least this hi-lo tank top gives it a little extra flair. What do you think?

June 2015 Outtakes

Speaking life over every situation (including future ones!) has become din's focus. Be inspired to do the same here.

As you know, dré is now in the tropical land of Hawai'i. It may be giving Disneyland a run for it's money for being the happiest place on earth!

Old friends, new adventures. Summer is a time for movement––vacations, local site-seeing, and relocations. Don't fear, we got you covered for style inspiration wherever you are! Whether it's beach ready (see below) or hanging out with friends (see above), we'll have easy hair tutorials and fun new nail art for you to try.

This is the Dinner in the Sky attraction that was available at the Qatar International Food Festival. Would you ever take to these heights to enjoy a meal? Comment below and then revisit din's stylish visit in "Qatari Royale" here.

dré's rocking a beach bod in Hawai'i and what pairs better than a suit to make a splash? Revisit "Ala Moana" to see how you can snag this suit for yourself!

No matter what city––currently Honolulu and DC–– we're in, we're still two girls who are eager to share with you our love for personal style and adventure! Thanks for reading!

Qatari Royale

The weather in the DC Metro area has been wild. Basically, all of California's rain has been rerouted here, meanwhile all the expected spring to summer drizzles are still occurring. I tried think back to when the weather was a little more steady (versus hot days, stormy nights) and I recalled my visit to Qatar.

One of the many activities I did while in the Middle East this past March was attend the Qatar International Food Festival. Along with my dear friend, Stik, I watched a live cooking show, ate Arabic ice cream, gift shopped, and enjoyed the sun. Although I didn't participate, there was a sold out Dinner In the Sky experience, too. Very intriguing!

The man sitting above is a jewelry vendor. While he makes bracelets out of gum tree, he sings. Stik often sees and hears him in the souk, so she wanted me to hear his songs. (One in particular, but he didn't end up singing that tune.) What's interesting is that I purchased some bracelets from his son in the souk a day or so prior––I'll tell you about those soon! Together they have a very successful family business, I'd say!
