Hi my lovelies! I hope everyone had a fab Thanksgiving! I know I did, and as my husband and I enjoy doing on our weekends, we ate to the point of "stupor status". You know the feeling...the moment right after you've finished stuffing yourself with comfort food, and it's all you can do to get to the nearest couch and cozy up in a big blanket and fall asleep...yeah, that. **Not to mention that I was awake until 4:30AM the night before, baking cake, and cheesecake, and pie, oh my!**

Now jumping to my outfit. I can't get enough of of these pants! And you can imagine my excitement when I realized the style of this pant is called the "Drea"! They really were made for me. Do you like them?

We are so blessed. Right now I'm sitting in a warm apartment (one that's spacious and all my own), preparing to head over (in my car) to a friend's for a lively Thanksgiving dinner. I say "we" because many of you are in similar situations. Whatever your walk in life, whatever your current situation, just know that you are a part of my blessing today.

As much as I'm not a fan of the cold, I must admit that the fashion for these icy climates is fab! I think my two favorite things to wear in these times are boots and furs. Calling All Fashionistas

I literally need anyone and everyone's help! Do you see this sweater pictured above? Well, I have been wanting a sweater like this for about 3 years. Clearly I've had no luck. 

Then last year I found this photo on Pinterest and when I saw it, I knew that it was the one! Here's the trouble...I haven't been able to find it. The link took me nowhere, and though I've search through the internet and stores, I remain empty handed.

If anyone knows where I can get this sweater will you please, PLEASE let me know?! I realize this exact one is most likely not available anymore, but I'm hoping for a replica of sorts!  Comment below for any links or stores where you have seen one. Thanks in advance for your help!

Baby It's Cold Outside

Temperatures have plummeted here from 57° a couple days ago to 34° today! I'm keeping cozy with lots of layers. I removed my winter parka long enough to snap a few shots of my outfit. Now I'm off to get things done, and taking full advantage of my car's heated seats in between stops!

Blankets For Everyone

This just might be my favorite fashion staple of all time. The blanket. When the winter sets in, there's nothing more cozy then being under a pile of blankets.  

So when I came across this link on Twitter from Harper's Bazaar, I was ecstatic to see just how easy it was to make my own. There are two styles to choose from, and they are both fab. I'm obsessed with mine and planning on making more!

Can't Afford Not To

I recently scored in a major way, though it wouldn't have happened without my husband's hound dog skills. We were heading home after a road trip and after spotting a Ross, he suggested we check it out. 

Once inside I headed straight for the shoes, but was quickly discouraged as nothing stuck out to me that was larger than a size 9 ( I know, I know....I have big feet ). I was about to throw in the towel when he came over and thought he should take a look. Within a matter of minutes, he found me not one, but two pairs of heels that I actually liked!

Oh! It gets better...the booties he found me were marked at $4.99, and the heels we marked at 49¢!! I thought there had to be a mistake. Sure enough, it was true. Let me do some quick math for you. That is TWO pairs of shoes for $5.48!!

Lesson learned: good deals can take some digging, and don't forget to check discount stores. After all, you can't afford not to!

Furr the Love of Tuesday

For the love of Tuesday! I finally have a moment to catch up on chores and errands. Here's what I'll be buzzing around in today. A sensible vest with my go-to Levi's (love that the pockets give my backside a little umph!), and a fall staple-- riding boots!

Monday, Monday.

I've been extremely (extremely!) busy lately. In fact, I barely had time to share with you a glimpse of my purple hair. Fortunately, most of the madness has concluded enough that I'm able to take the day off tomorrow. Too bad it won't be a full day of relaxing as I have so much life to catch up on. But, it will be a great day nonetheless.

This outfit spoke to my mood today and is quite the blend. Let's call it comfy chic, shall we? The tucked in sweatshirt not only provides warmth for the lovely fall weather, but also a collegiate type of vibe that's definitely on trend.

And since it's an old sweatshirt of my dad's, I suppose it's like a big hug from him every time I put it on. Squeeze!

My First Dress

I've always thought that it would be fun to know how to sew, but I've never had the patience to sit down and learn how to. I'm not sure what changed, but something in me just had a burning desire to attempt to make a dress. So I did. 

I didn't have a pattern, but I did have another dress that is similar in my closet that I really like. That was my model for the dress that I made myself. I actually really enjoyed myself, and I'm already planning on what I can make next! What do you think of my first dress?
