Blankets For Everyone

This just might be my favorite fashion staple of all time. The blanket. When the winter sets in, there's nothing more cozy then being under a pile of blankets.  

So when I came across this link on Twitter from Harper's Bazaar, I was ecstatic to see just how easy it was to make my own. There are two styles to choose from, and they are both fab. I'm obsessed with mine and planning on making more!

Turquoise Obsession

I love turquoise. Obsessed really. Throughout the years, I have either found pieces that I've had to have, or had some lovely people gift them to me. 

My mom recently got back from a trip to Cancun for a Matrix training. While she was there, she bartered with a local vendor to bring me back a fab turquoise beaded cuff. Of course I went gaga over it, and promptly added it to my collection.

Fall InVESTment

Last week, I had a girl's day with a good friend, and along with lattés, secrets, and our children running wild, I stumbled upon this vest at the mall. Too exhausted from all of the above earlier, I left it there and went on my way. Unable to shake the thought of it, I went back later that day and made it mine! 

It's a great piece that I can wear through fall, and add layers to it to last me through winter as well! What do you think?

Date Night

I love dressing up! And possibly more than dressing up, I love having a reason to dress up! For most, you might say that a Christmas party or gala only make up only a couple events per year, but I say, "why not have a date night?!" After all, getting spruced up with your lover, and having an evening outside the ordinary, is the perfect way to fan the flame of love!

There is a fairly new boutique that opened recently, right around the corner from the salon I work at in Seattle, called Etiquette. Between my morbid curiosity and the enticing window displays, I had no choice but to check out the scene. 

The store is definitely full of good finds for extremely affordable prices, though there are a good share of items that seem cheap as well. Among the treasures the store did have to offer, I stumbled upon this infinity necklace and earring ( pictured above in the cartilage of my ear ), which of course is the most glorious number ever, sideways! You best believe I snatched that up! Unfortunately for din, it was the last one, or I'd have snagged her one as well! What do you think of my new ice?
