Vancouver Fashion Week FW 2014

Two weeks ago I was up in Vancouver, B.C. for fashion week. This season I had the opportunity to walk for Goldie London again. I loved their Spring/Summer 2014 collection that I wore last season so much, I could hardly wait to slip into whatever they had for me this one.

This particular show was a bit of a monumental occasion for me. My husband, who has never seen me walk in any shows before, was not only there, but sitting in the front at the top of the runway. Talk about butterflies as a got ready to step onto the runway and saw my guy across the way! I felt like one special girl!

Enjoy the photos he took from his view, along with a video he shot of me walking up the runway!

Here is the video shot by Ben.

If you care to to see the entire show, watch here. To fast forward to my clip, I walk at 1:07:35.

Opportunities

In mid December, I was invited to a casting call to walk in Vancouver Fashion Week this March. I had such a blast last September, that I decided I had to go again!

The timing couldn't have been better. din was visiting me from DC, and was able to come with me to the casting. While there, we both became acquainted with Leonard Jones, who is directing and producing a year long fashion documentary called Emerging, which will closely follow VFW's preparations for their bi-annual Fashion Weeks. I am told that I will be featured in the documentary, and am very excited for the entire thing to come together!

din was sneaky and snapped a couple photos while I was getting my mug shot taken for the show:) I guess I'll be looking a bit different this season with my dark hair as opposed to my blonde hair I sported last season! Enjoy some flashback photos from September!

Be sure to like us on Facebook so we can keep you up to date with Leonard's fashion documentary, as well as our style and adventure!

I Am Hopeful

The I Am Hopeful fashion show, put on by Gene Juarez, to benefit the Hope Heart Institute was a huge success! With over 500 guests in attendance, and hundreds of stylists from the salon pulling together, the Seattle community was definitely feeling the love last night! I'm so proud and honored to be part of such an amazing company!

Sean Paul Stroupe and Ruben Manzo tag teamed my hair, to give it a "resort" look for the show.

Below is the storyboard of inspiration for the Vibrant collection I walked in.

The Vibrant collection was wardrobed by The Finery.

I made sure I was able to snap a quick photo with Gene Juarez before I left the building ;)

Backstage @ Lili Ming & IMA | Vancouver Fashion Week

It's been a week since I finished walking for Vancouver fashion week, and I know there are people eager to see photos of what I did! Take a walk with me backstage at the shows for Lili Ming and IMA.

Below is a shot of my hair and makeup or Lili Ming. I loved this look! The hair was a soft undone French twist, and the lips were two toned. If you look closely you will see they are orange in the center and hot pink in the corners. I will definitely be stealing this for a makeup look I do in the future!

This collection showcased 5 collections within the collection, and sent over 80 pieces down the runway! I guess when someone tells them to get ready for a show, they don't play!  Below, you will see two of the three dresses I wore down the runway.

The second show I walked in this evening was for IMA. It was so crazy backstage, with a shortage of hair and makeup people, that my hair skills were put to the test! I did my own hair for the show! I thought the makeup was fun for this too. Very soft, with a bit mor drama around the eyes!

Theses lovely little ladies in the middle are the designers for this collection. The clothing is all yoga/athletic inspired, and all the models were loving how comfortable and adorable that each piece was! I defiantly plan on buying from them in the future!
