Backstage with Goldie at VFW

Last week I spent 3 days in Vancouver, B.C. walking in their fashion week. It was definitely their best season yet. The venue moved from the Chinese Cultural Center to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, where they had set up tents.

I'm looking forward to sharing all the different collections I walked for with you, but let me start with Goldie. This was my third season walking for this designer. Her ready-to-wear collections never disappoint. The makeup for her show was soft on the eyes and a bright pink lip. The hair was soft waves. Below you can see some of the photos from backstage.

After the show was over, my husband and I headed out to the VFW after party at Cabana nightclub. The music was great and the hors d'oeuvres were delicious.  I even found a panda on the way!

And finally here's a photo from the runway captured by Dale Rollings.

Opportunities

In mid December, I was invited to a casting call to walk in Vancouver Fashion Week this March. I had such a blast last September, that I decided I had to go again!

The timing couldn't have been better. din was visiting me from DC, and was able to come with me to the casting. While there, we both became acquainted with Leonard Jones, who is directing and producing a year long fashion documentary called Emerging, which will closely follow VFW's preparations for their bi-annual Fashion Weeks. I am told that I will be featured in the documentary, and am very excited for the entire thing to come together!

din was sneaky and snapped a couple photos while I was getting my mug shot taken for the show:) I guess I'll be looking a bit different this season with my dark hair as opposed to my blonde hair I sported last season! Enjoy some flashback photos from September!

Be sure to like us on Facebook so we can keep you up to date with Leonard's fashion documentary, as well as our style and adventure!

It's Been Fun....

My days rocking pink hair are reaching their end. Though it didn't last long, it's been sweet, wild, and glam all the way!

Enjoy one final look at my bubble gum locks! I chose a royal blue dress; its color is not only hot this season, but I found it to contrast beautifully against my hair. Though the under layer of the dress is blue opposed to nude, both the color and the lace overlay, remind me of the Goldie dress I wore during Vancouver Fashion Week. My knee high boots wrap it together perfectly, for an ideal fall look.

Can you guess what color my hair will be next??

It's Time To Dance

[ took this shot in Steve Madden store to get the green light from the husband! ]

Last week when I was in D.C., I went with din to pick up lipstick from MAC at Nordstrom. As we were walking through the mall to catch the metro, these neon shoes caught my eye. That's an understatement. They stopped me in my tracks! Just like din, I also needed to shake things up and a little retail therapy was just the answer!

Since then, I have been waiting for the perfect occasion to bust out my hot new dancin' shoes, and tonight is the night. I'm on my way to my friend's wedding and we're going to celebrate the night away!
