A Trendy P.O.V.

My dear friend Amy is heading back to the chill coast in a couple weeks to reunite with her fiancé in L.A. So, we've been busy checking things off of her D.C. to-do list. One of our adventures was to go to the W Hotel's rooftop bar for a spectacular view of the city. We arrived around eight o'clock so that we could catch the view at sunset. It was great! Well, until it started pouring! Nonetheless, we had a great time sippin' specialty drinks (Moscow Mules with homemade ginger beer!) and chatting with out of town guests.

If you get the chance, I highly recommend visiting and taking in the sights. Since it is a trendy venue, you might consider making a reservation before you go!

Winter Hue

Often the mindset for winter wardrobe is to go dark. But a summer bird like myself, I often like to find ways to break the mold. This beautiful Tahari coat and a colorful bird patterned button-down blouse are great against the backdrop of the snow, don't you think?
