Pink Panther

Okay! As promised, here is another creative shoot

I have a bit of a knack for sleuthing and de[CODE]ing, so I thought it suitable to bring out my inner P.I.! I'm really digging the pink 'fro look, and it was fun to wear out later for a sensible dinner ;)

Hair + Couture + A Lesson From The Godfather....Yes Please!

I recently was a hair model for Matrix, in a Seattle hair show. It truly was an incredible experience in every way! I got to hang out with a bunch of extremely talented stylists for 3 days and wear couture....now that's what I call a weekend!

Darci Brown hooked me up with my gorgeous new blonde color, and I was styled on stage by both Nicholas French and Daniel Roldan.

Nicholas French has been called "the godfather" of hairdressing. Now I see why! I wish I could sit at his feet for a year and just watch him, listen to him, and assist him with his wig styling! I definitely left feeling like a learned a history lesson and full of inspiration!

Then there is Daniel. What an amazing artist! He has a strong point of view, and full of creativity and talent! Though he is a bit more quiet, don't let him kid you! This guy has jokes, and he and Nicholas had me cracking up with their commentary!

Finally, feast your eyes upon my wardrobe! The blue lagoon of gorgeousness below is by Roberto Cavalli. Ummmm...let's just say I never wanted to take it off, and Nicholas is lucky that it made it back into his bag! The beautiful red gown that I wore for the V.I.P. event is by Angel Sanchez. How fun to be so fancy! I even got to rock porcupine quills in one of my updos!

3 Generations Of Beautiful

This weekend I had the opportunity to style hair for an awesome wedding party! In the mix was my dear friend, her mother, and her daughter. Talk about pretty people both inside and out!

I gave each of them a completely different style that suited them perfectly! What do you think?!

Hair Rx

Curly hair, meet your match!

I have worked with curly hair of many different textures and shapes, and consequently have used a variety of curl products. Although there are several that I like for different reasons, I currently have a new love!

Intense Curl Cream by Moroccan Oil seems to have the perfect balance of everything a curl owner needs! The product has a thick, creamy texture, which gives the hair shine and control, and yet it's not so heavy that the hair looks greasy and weighed down. It's full of vitamins and the product line's signature argan oil to keep the hair hydrated.

Photographed below is my daughter with her beautiful curls! Anyone that knows her, knows how wild her hair can be (which I love! ), but with this product, her hair has fabulous definition and shine!

Product is available for resale at Gene Juarez Salon and Spas.

Hair Rx

When warm weather hits, so do BBQs, babes in bikinis, and beachy tresses. But as sexy as long hair can be, when the sun is beating down, so is sweat from the hair in your face! Thus, I bring to you, a spin on the regular braid: the waterfall braid. It's perfect for anything from a special occasion, to a brunch with friends. You can style it to perfection and not have to bat an eye over any unwanted strands falling in your face!

Please glean freely from my video below on "how to do a waterfall braid", and scroll further down to see the finished look.

Wedding Bells

It's summer. It's hot. And what else comes to mind besides popsicles and beaches?? WEDDING SEASON!!

Weather you will be the blushing bride this year or have a friend that is getting ready to tie the knot, I have a selection of five families of hairstyles sure to please the bride-to-be.

For the classic bride:
1.French Twist
The french twist is a timeless look that has so many variations of the way it can be worn. Below Eva Longoria wears hers with her bang swept softly to the side, and the lovely lady below her has the front of hers styled up and away from her face.
