It's Been Fun....

My days rocking pink hair are reaching their end. Though it didn't last long, it's been sweet, wild, and glam all the way!

Enjoy one final look at my bubble gum locks! I chose a royal blue dress; its color is not only hot this season, but I found it to contrast beautifully against my hair. Though the under layer of the dress is blue opposed to nude, both the color and the lace overlay, remind me of the Goldie dress I wore during Vancouver Fashion Week. My knee high boots wrap it together perfectly, for an ideal fall look.

Can you guess what color my hair will be next??

Well, It's Official...

You know that look some folks give you when you wear white after Labor Day? Well, that's the look I'm giving deep down inside when I see or hear people trying to rush my beloved summer. Today's the day, though, that I have to embrace all the boot talk and chilled breezes. After all, it's the first day of fall.

Earlier I mentioned that this was the first year that I am actually looking forward to allowing fall layers to overwhelm my wardrobe. Here are a few key fall staples to look out for this season as you peruse your favorite shops, latte in hand.

1) Be bold with your lip color:

2) A scarf will give you infinite possibilities:

3) Find a jacket that provides enough conversation as it does warmth:

4) Remember, leather pulls everything together:

5) Try on my go to bootie for size:

[ Let's Hear It for the Boy ]

So, I'm kinda fangirling over Men's fall fashion. Although we are in preview season for what's in store for spring, I've been revisiting the shows from the Fall 2013 runway. Men's layers will take them from distinguished office wear to I make this look good happy hour. [The gentlemen of Washington, DC just perked up..]

Below I've compiled a few casual, business, and outwear looks from leading menswear designers. [You can deCODE the designer by hovering over the image.]

Dressing A[cross] The Seasons

Day by day, fall is sneaking up on us, and as din posted about that summer chill, I definitely am starting to see that in our upcoming forecasts.

One of my new pieces I'm so excited about, is this sheer cross dress. It's so lightweight, that on a hot day I can wear a lacy bandeau and skirt under it, or as it really gets chilly, I can wear a longer sleeve, and leggings or jeans. What do you think about the way I styled it here?

[ Inspire Me ]

Alice + Olivia Fall 2013 RTW

Fashion changes quite frequently and whether or not I choose to follow it trend by trend, I'm always being inspired by things around me. Watching fashion shows online, visiting Style.com, browsing my fashion magazines, visiting art galleries, or even just walking the historic streets of DC are ways that I stay fashionably inspired. How about you?
