A Trendy P.O.V.

My dear friend Amy is heading back to the chill coast in a couple weeks to reunite with her fiancé in L.A. So, we've been busy checking things off of her D.C. to-do list. One of our adventures was to go to the W Hotel's rooftop bar for a spectacular view of the city. We arrived around eight o'clock so that we could catch the view at sunset. It was great! Well, until it started pouring! Nonetheless, we had a great time sippin' specialty drinks (Moscow Mules with homemade ginger beer!) and chatting with out of town guests.

If you get the chance, I highly recommend visiting and taking in the sights. Since it is a trendy venue, you might consider making a reservation before you go!

Alas, the month of our Frien-iversary has come to an end. Truth be told, there is a lot to look forward to come fall. This is the first year I'm actually looking forward to the layering trend and boot shopping.

And whipping out transitional pieces like my red cuff from Lilac Bijoux (above) and painting my nails orange. Perhaps even a little Hair Rx: blonde edition to keep the feeling of walkin' on sunshine...

Hmm.. come to think of it. We've got a pretty good transition in our future! dré's got a few more fashion shows (stay tuned!), we're styling, and (yay!) another reunion! Let's be honest, nothing beats summer. Still, the kick-off to fall isn't lookin' too shabby.

[ Arrowhead ]

Never underestimate what you might find on the clearance rack. That's where I found this skirt during one of our NYC shopping days this past May. Guess how much... 7 bucks! Yup, it must have been a lonesome piece or some poor misguided girl who shares my size returned it. Whatever, the circumstance, my keen eye found this faux leather snake skin skirt and the rest is history.
