Cover Story | November 2013

I have loved watching Marion Cotillard on screen since her legendary performance in La Vie en Rose in 2007. From start to finish, I kept thinking how can anyone be this good?

And yet she was. And continues to be as her global star glows across silver screens every year.

The French actress's latest project, The Immigrant, has been receiving strong reviews at film festivals across the country and in Europe. It's scheduled for a wider U.S. release in 2014, and I am hoping that a local independent theater picks it up.

For the cover, Cotillard wears a knit bra top and wool shorts by Dior, and bracelets by David Yurman. She's 37 and looks amazing. For the story, she tells friend and fellow actress, Jessica Chastain, that she not only loves being an actress for the story telling aspect, but because it allows her "to explore what a human being is." Well, I'd say she's doing a pretty darn good job at both!

Elle's November issue features 8 women on Hollywood's It list. Pick up your copy [ cover may vary ] to deCODE more interviews on the women making waves on set.

[ Cut ] Out

There is a trend taking place right now that is on the "dicey" side. Dresses that have been cut, chopped up, and stamped out to perfection have been seen on the red carpet by countless celebrities.

Pictured below is a page from the April issue of Vogue showing stars such as Karlie Kloss, Emily Blunt, and Kerry Washington turning heads in their cut-out dresses by Michael Kors and Prada.

If you're dying to get this look for yourself, but you're not willing to murder your savings account to achieve couture (though I will be the last to judge you if you choose to do so!), do not shed one tear! Check out the look I got for WAY less at Ross! It's sexy and fun, and it's cut in all the right places!
