Kimono

Kimonos are a trend that I have loved this summer. I definitely plan on bringing it with me into the fall! It's such a fun layering piece and brings life to the right outfit. Do you like  mine?

Running Errands

This week my daughter started school again. This means a lot more running around every day. When things get crazy busy, sometimes it feels really good to be comfortable. Now, do not confuse being comfortable with being a slob! You can be comfortable and fabulous at the same time!

This look is perfect for running errands. The fabrics are so soft and stretchy, you barely notice they're there. Add a blingy watch, and throw on some heels and shades, and now my look says, "Oh! This ol' thing? Yeah, I just threw it on!"... in a very Hollywood way of course ;) #IWokeUpLikeThis

Celebrate 8

When a lover of the number 8 ( like myself ), has a child turning that beautifully curvy number, there is reason to celebrate!

Yesterday, my sweet firstborn Kiya, turned 8! She woke up to 8 giant balloons and later opened 8 presents. I even made sure that my wardrobe was festive for her special day by wearing this fancy 8 shirt!

Happy 8th year of life Kiya! I love you!!

Green With Envy

A few weeks ago, I road tripped to Cali. It was so much fun, and I have much more to share from my trip!

There were a couple of nights that I spent just outside San Fran, and rode the BART into the city. On my ride in, a girl got on and sat next to me. She had jungle green hair. I looked and her and said, "Your hair is amazing!" She wasn't thoroughly convinced as she had just gotten it done the day before, and was still adjusting to it. I insisted to her that it was and we parted ways.

Since then I haven't been able to get her hair out of my head, so I decided it was time for me to indulge as well! After all, I've never had green hair!

Taking in consideration the health of my hair and the happiness of my husband, I decided not to bleach my hair out entirely it before I put the green on. Instead, I decided just to put the green over the top of the brown I already had. I knew this way it would be more subtle, but still give me the pop of green that I desired. I'm loving it! What do you think? Would you try a fun color in your hair?
